Attorney Lawrence K. Glick is engaged in the practice of law in Needham, Massachusetts. He has over thirty-five years of legal experience, both in the private and public sectors, as well as academia, as a former associate professor of law at Boston College Law School.

Mr. Glick's practice is focused primarily in the areas of elder law and probate litigation. He is experienced in the areas of preparation and defense of wills and trusts, and is involved in related planning issues. Well known in the areas of guardianship and conservatorship law and elder protective services law, Mr. Glick has taught other attorneys as part of the premier continuing legal education annual Conference in Guardianship Law, sponsored by the Suffolk Law School Advanced Legal Studies Program and the Massachusetts Guardianship Association. Among his long term clients, Mr. Glick has represented a large elder protective services agency in its administration and enforcement of the Elder Abuse Law in 18 communities in the Metrowest area of Boston, a well-respected geriatric care management company, several professional guardians and conservators, and a large social services agency that, among other things, provides guardianship and conservatorship services to elders who are at risk. He also represents and counsels individuals with regard to the care and planning for family members or friends who are disabled and/or incapacitated. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Massachusetts Guardianship Association.

Lawrence K. GlickMr. Glick is a well-seasoned probate litigator, having tried many probate cases, including disputes over wills, trusts and estates, and cases involving elder abuse. He has tried numerous cases in Probate & Family Court, Superior Court and District Court, before both judges and juries.

Mr. Glick also has significant experience in the area of real estate law. In that capacity, he has acted as counsel for buyers and sellers in hundreds of home purchases. For approximately 10 years, he represented the City of Boston in complex commercial real estate transactions in which the City provided financing, with both federal and municipal funds, for residential developments that contained affordable rental and ownership units. In addition, Mr. Glick has significant experience in the area of land use and zoning law, and served for seven years on the Wayland Zoning Board of Appeals, two of which he served as chairman.

Mr. Glick also has considerable experience in other areas of law, including the representation of small businesses, general civil litigation and drafting of contracts.

Mr. Glick received a B.A. Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, and was admitted to membership in the Order of the Coif.

Upon his graduation from law school, Mr. Glick served as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He then served as a criminal trial lawyer for the Roxbury Defenders Committee, where he tried numerous cases. After his work as a public defender, Mr. Glick worked for three years as a full-time Associate Professor of Law at Boston College Law School, teaching primarily in its well-respected clinical education program.

Mr. Glick resides in Wayland with his wife and two college-aged children.
